Hi

Before i started using FitSync i wrote all my exercises on pieces of paper.. And now i wanted to type them into my FitSync calender... However i ran into some problems while doing so...
  • I logged one workout on the wrong day. When I tried to move it to a different date, it didn't seem to work (when i tried to change the date of workout it jumped to the new date, without changing the old one)  Undecided
  • Then i tried to delete the workout, figured i could just type it again... But the delete button is nowhere to be found? Huh

If these small things could be fixed it would be great...

Regards

hello Kris from Denmark,
I too transferred my old data from my very old notebook into FitSync.  The easy way is to click on Log Workouts on the left side of the page.  You'll see a button that sez New Data and you can choose your dates.  You can also Delete or Edit Data.  So that's where it's all at. Smiley  I'm an old hand so holler if you have mo questions.

Hi Tai Hau

Thanks for ur help, i found the delete button...  Grin
But I insist on the problem of changing the date of a workout...

What i did:
Log workouts -> chose one workout (edit data) -> chose one date (edit data) -> Changed the date -> comfirm
what happens is that the workout that i've selected is opened on the date that i wanted to changed it to, but its blank and if i press confirm, it saves a new (blank) workout on the date that i wanted to move the other one to.. and the other workout stays on the original date...

Try it...

ah ... Kristin from Denmark, you need to enter your workout on the date you want and delete the other one from the wrong date
Merry Christmas!

Tai Hau is right, you can't move data from one date to another, you need to re-enter it on the date yoiu want and tehn delete it from teh other date.  Click the Edit Data option in either a workout or an exercise and you'll see all the dates you performed it.

Here's a shortcut that helped me when the date on my handheld was wrong and I ignored the Fitsync alert when I synced  Embarrassed I open Firefox in one window and IE in another and login to my account simultaneously in both browsers (you can't do this from the same browser cuz yoiu'll then get the same view in each).  I then jsut copy over the data from the wrong date in FFox to the right date in IE - worked fine.  But I learned my lesson, next time I get a Fitsync mesage to check my ipaqs time and date I think I'll do it!

I also think this is a bit cumbersome. I would really like a bit more ease in posting workouts after the day has passed.
I am new to this and still learning the loopholes...but still there has to be a way to make the editing of wokouts a bit more 'user friendly'...?

kel, what exactly are you doing?   I just log on my mobile and sync.  Can't get easier than that.  Are you like first writing into your notebook and then entering at the Website?  THAT would be cumbersome.

The workouts post immediately after you sync.  Log it on your phone, sync and there it is.  Or log in yoiur account on the Web and it goes in right away.  I'm using the fitsync Windows Mobile version so I create and edit workouts on my HTC and sync it later, works great for me.  Do you have a PDA or a phone?

I have a blackberry and don't have access to Fitsync on my mobile  Sad  so I was logging workouts on my computer...after the workout.
Once the day is over, if I had not logged my workout - the opportunity seems  to be gone.  The day on the schedule has a 'no' sign on it.
I would like to be able to access any day on the calender from the schedule page and add/edit workouts. As I said,Im still learning and maybe I'm missing something.  I actually was able to do it in a round-a-bout kind of way by adding a workout to whatever day it was and then entering the details of the workout then changing the date and...a few other steps. That is what I found cumbersome.
Maybe this is all above my head, perhaps I'll keep it simple and write it down... Embarrassed
Pulled a few good programming and excercise ideas from the library though! Not a total loss!  Smiley

heya Kel, maybe it's time to get some other kinda mobile Smiley  anyways, a very easy way to log on your 'puter is to click on Log Workouts on the left side of the page.  You can pick the workout you've done, pick a date and then log the workout for that day, whether in the past or today.

Users shouldn't have to do "workarounds" for something as basic as correcting the date of a workout. This is something that every new user (including me) will run into. Having to re-enter all the workout data, after editing the date, is beyond tedious. I can only hope that the programmers have this on their must get to list. Meanwhile, I will just suffer with wrong workout days sometimes, but inaccuracy decreases the "motivation" of digital logging.
