I'm new here just dl fitsync to my droid, was hoping to start a new year, I seem to do so good in the winter months, than slack in the summer. Im a work at home mom with 3 kids, 9,8 and 7.

I have a really nice elliptical that I use at home and really enjoy doing. I also have some free weights and kettle bells (I found those to be really fun and love the few videos that I have)

Im hoping to lose about 10 lbs and firm up... a lot  Grin  I have been good these last few weeks and just doing the elliptical and watching my eating... but haven't lost anything... so I need to up my game Smiley

Not sure how the trainers work, but may look into one of them

Nice to be here!

welcome kiki13, you sound like a real cool mama with the latest droid  Wink  I've been riding my bike indoors during the colder months, can't wait to get out for my outdoor rides.  Maybe you should think about getting a bike for the warmer days.  You probably slack off in the summer because you want to be outside but you're not exercising, am I right?  Find something fun to do outdoors, like kicking ball with your kids, cycling, swimming, etc.  Post your widgets and we'll be watching ...  Grin

Welcome KiKi-
You may be making more progress than you realize.  You may not have lost any weight but you may have decreased your bodyfat percentage by losing fat and replacing it with muscle!   Track what you do and you'll see that you're getting a little stronger every week.  Then all you need to do is monitor your food a bit, don't need a drastic diet change - unless you're eating pork chops and pancakes every morning - just back off a few things like fatty foods and eat slightly smaller portions.  You'll be amazed how fast you can reach your goals, good luck!

True, you need to track what you do and make a periodic assessment to see how you're progressing. Don't focus so much on the scale, instead focus on doing your Elliptical and your resistance exercises and how your cardio and strength are improving.  Everything else will just fall into place.  Of course you need to go light on the Cincinnati chili and the Montgomery Inn ribs - those get me every time  Wink  Good luck.
