I'm not sure whether software team has considered about usability and user-friendliness when they are developing this FitSync app. I'm working as software engineer so I'm very familiar with a lot of other software apps. but I couldn't figure out how to use this system.. Smiley now, I'm trying to log the workout that I have done today.. But it asks me to fill-up a lot of information for full-body test or something.. I found some unknown workouts that I have no idea.. basically, we don't know the workout name. When we are with personal trainer, he ask me to do a few workout but he never mention about the name. So, it would be more helpful if there is any picture or videos for build-in workouts in the system.. .

My gym "FitnessFirst" didn't provide any session about how to use the system..

Hi Michael, to learn more about using FitSync you can take a look at the Getting Started guide or click on HELP to download the User's Guide. Most of the prepared workouts in the libraries do have exercise videos.  When you pick one of the workouts from the library you'll know the name and then you can log the workout on your mobile as you're doing it or log it at the Website later.  When you're working with your trainer, let your trainer know you wish to log your workouts.  Your trainer can put a copy of the workout into your account so you or your trainer can log it.  Hope that helps. Thanks, sis of kong..

Everett, I think you don't get the point that I mentioned so you are joking me..  I didn't say that it should magically track what I did. All I was saying is that it should be easy for user to add the workout that he/she did. I will tell you a few points.

1. Scenario: I want to log my workout that I have done today.

  • I click on "Log Workout" under "Progress"
  • There is one line called "Total Body Fitness Test"... What the hell is that? Can I just have a "New Workout" and add what I have done today?

2. Scenario: I want to make an appointment with my trainer.

So, I go to "Schedule" under "Plan"  and click on "+" beside date. The popup will be opened and see "Total Body Fitness Test" again. I hate to see "Total Body Fitness Test".. But I realized that I can't use "Schedule" to make an appointment with the trainer.. I don't know what workout he is going to ask me to do as well. So, "Schedule" feature is totally useless for me.

3. Scenario : Custom Workout and Custom Exercise.

Don't tell me that I need to know the name if I wanna log my workout.. There are a thousand of workouts that doesn't include in the build-in workout library.  My trainer may customize the workout that might fit with me. I may also do the workout from other source like YouTube or etc.

I know that there is a way to create the custom workout. But I can't create the custom execise. I created new workout called "new workout" under "strength" category in "Workout" section.and filled up "Author" and "Source" as well. and then, I want to add "custom exercise".. but there is no way to add.. Let's say I'm following this 4 ads exercises from this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDHDHOraRkY ... Can you tell me the name of those workouts that defined in build-in workout library system? Even you managed to find them, tell me how long does you took to get the correct one... I'm beginner and new to the system so imagine that how long I will take to get the correct one because I need to search, read one by one and watch the video to check whether this is the correct workout or not.. Why can't you guys allow user to enter the name and description?

Michael, your right that Everett is a joker.  Welcome!

That Tottal Body fitness test is a good workout to try when your ready and you can also try Rankings to see how you stack up against others in your age class.  Once you have workouts in your personal list, they will appear in the list for Log Workouts.
To create a custom exercise, click on Exercises (left side of page) and you see a box that says New Exercise.   When you create new workout, you search for exercises in the library, e.g. Abdominals and you see the exercises you can do to get great abs.  So to create Home ab wokout, you pick and add exercises from the exercise library like crunch, bicycles, etc.  If you can't find the exercise you want you can save your workout, go create a new exercise like canoes and it'll be in your personal list.  Then you click on the pencil on your Home ab workout and continue to add exrcises.  The Schedule is good for when you find a Program (many workouts over many weeks) and you can schedule it so you know which workout to do.

yo mickey bro, yeah I wuz jus joking  Wink  like I said its great u wanna track, dat's the first step.  I think its easier to pick a workout from the lib here instead of elsewhere.  dat way u already get the xercises that come with it. later
