Happy New Year everyone!  May each one of you get what you wish for  Smiley
I resolve to exercise more (while tracking my progress), cook more (especially healthy recipes) and work smarter.
What are your new year resolutions?

Hey Sister of Kong-
Great resolutions and good of you to kick this off getting everyone thinking about making 2008 great!  Now for mine...

Other than trying to be nice to everyone (and not just the people I like), maintaining a positive attitude (much to be thankful for so no reason to be negative) AND getting back into some volunteer stuff, my fitness resolution is to do something every day!  Even if it's just 20 minutes of stretching, or crunches or bodyweight squats in front of the TV, I resolve not to miss a single day.  In the past I've been stuck on only working out if the weather is nice or if I have time for a full workout at the gym, etc. so very easy to let a week go by waiting for all the planets to align for my perfect workout.

I kicked off the new year with a 30 mile bike ride on a cold and very blustery winter day.  Tough getting started but 10 minutes into my ride I felt like a million bucks!  Today I'm hitting the gym no matter what and tomorrow is an hour of ab/core work and stretching in front of the TV.

I'm posting my FitSync workout and profile widgets everywhere so my buddies can hassle me if I slack off.  Goal is to average 200,000 lbs and 250 miles a month so anyone reading this, feel free to bust on me if  I start dragging!

Everyone have a great 2008 and make it your personal best!

Paul

Happy new year folks.
This year I'm gonna go green, yeah, gonna spread the word about replacing paper and tell all my friends to use FitSync instead of their dogeared notebooks or tattered workout cards.  Gonna recycle everything that's recyclable.  Walk, run or bike instead of drive.  Gonna use the same bag when I buy groceries.  NOT that I buy into all the propaganda about global warming but I want to generate as little trash as I can, not kill as many trees cos I looove trees and keep the air cleaner.

Hi!

It's not too late yet. It's the new year, of the ox!

First, I'll sleep early and then wake up early. Then get some work done on the short 1 hour window before I workout.

Workout 3x a week. Continue to eat right.

Then really, really, to not break this routine.

Spend less time on the Internet and more time with friends and family.

And yes, start working hard too.

Good luck to you and happy new year!

Great resolutions and happy new year to you too.  Same for me -

1 - Less TV and less Internet.  More books and more face to face connections with real humans.  Internet will be 90% work and fitness related and 10% news and BS that doesn't really matter.

2 - Less time thinking about doing things and more time doing them.  Every day I will do some kind of a workout like at least one set of body weight squats or a couple sets of crunches (no matter what I can carve out 15 minutes!).

3 - In the time I'm not wasting on the Web (like checking all the Formula 1 news for the 10th time) I'll get back into my Cantonese language CDs and stop being an illiterate uncommunicative gwai lo.

4 - No more excuses - rain or shine, hot or cold I will train at least 100 miles a week on my bike and once a week I will get my ass to the pool!

5 - Reconnect with some volunteer work I used to do.

Wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous 2009.

Happy Healthy New Year every body!
This year I aim to cook more (and better  Cheesy ); show more affection and appreciation  to my family and friends (strangers too if they're nice); spread the word of fitness and good health and help others to achieve their fitness goals.
