Author Topic: program will not work on Windows Mobile 6  (Read 3090 times)

« on: 15-Apr-08, 02:10:10 PM »

I purchased this program off Handango, which says this program should be compatible with my ASUS MyPal 696.

However when I go to install it says I need to install "netcf.all.wce4.armv4.cab" first. From Googling that appears to be a file from the 1.0 .net compact framework. I have managed to locate that specific .cab file, no idea what to do with it though. Is there any way to get the program to work or do I need to pursue getting a refund?

Thanks

Jackie,
The OS isn't a problem, but don't know your phone or carrier.

I'm runnig the app fine on Mobile 6.
Ignore those errors on install.  I had them too.
Make sure you install on the device not on a storage card

See the great response to my similar query on this board and walk through the steps:

If you continue to have specific errors or problems, please post the exact problem and error text.

The support folks here are great.

Good luck.   Grin

It's just a GPS enabled PDA, no phone.

Installing it on the device instead of the sd card did the trick.

Thanks much for the tip

Jake, glad to hear you got things running.  Charles, thanks for jumping in with some tips and thank you for the compliments on our support.

As you discovered, key issue is that you need to install it to the device and not the storage card.  It's an easy mistake especially if your device defaults to the storage card for saving files.

Jake if you have any more questions you can post here or email us at info@fitsync.com if you want a confidential response.
