Author Topic: Customize Vitals  (Read 1343 times)

It would be great if I could customize the list of vitals.

There are current measurements I either don't care to measure or don't have the equipment to measure.  These just waste the vital's reporting space. There are also measurements that I would like to track.

Personally, I would add shoulders, neck, and forearms.  I would eliminate bmr, fat mass, body water, systolic bp, diastolic bp, resting heart rate, and vo2 max.

It would also be nice if I could download the historical data -- csv, or something excel could read.

Thanks for checking in and sharing some feedback.  We continually try to upgrade and improve the applicaiton and one area we've been looking at for a while is trying to give users more flexibility in picking their own measurement criteria.  This involves not only Vitals, as you suggest, but other areas such as Cardio so users can select more than just kilometers and miles such as meters and yards.

The current Vitals options are based on measurements that many personal trainers and physical therapists use.  The values correspond to what you would get from a Tanita scale or similar device that measures (or estimates) body composition values.  This information can be very useful but I would agree with you that for most of us (me included) we don't fiddle with VO2 Max and Body Water etc. unless we have access to a body composition measuring device.  We will be doing some enhancements in this area so look for some more measurement options like you describe in teh coming months.

You are in luck on the downloadable data option.  We've had this in place for a few years and are now in the middle of doing some upgrades so it has been unavailable for about a month but you can expect it to be available soon.  This will let you export all of your data into an Excel spreadsheet to further analyze as you see fit.

Thanks again for the suggestions and feedback.  Have a great weekend.
