Hey Carmelo,
Did you try to install via Wi-Fi to the general Internet or via your carrier's network? Many US phone carriers have some kind of restrictions on their network or on their data plans. For example, a friend of mine has T-mobile and thought she had the data plan because they told her she could go to Web sites. As it turned out, it was only a handful of Web sites and she couldn't go to any that weren't on the list. She had to get a different data plan to have full access to the Internet. Other carriers won't let subscribers download apps unless it's from their store (I think Verizon and Sprint are like that). So I'd suggest you first remove FitSync from your program files (if any FitSync files were downloaded) and then install again via Wi-Fi.

Hi Carmelo-
To be 100% certain, do the initial install via ActiveSync and your net connected PC. Sometimes even the carrier's Wi-Fi network (some provide a Wi-Fi network and a phone/cellular network to access the net) will block downloads or app installs.
In the meantime, we're having our tech guys do some research on US carrier implementations of the HTC Diamond just in case they're blocking app installs.
