Greetings everyone,

FitSync is now available for your Android device! And once again, FitSync is Apple’s Featured Web App in their Sports category and is Staff Pick as well.

Like our other FitSync mobile applications, you can log data, set targets, view videos, exercise notes, etc.  A new feature unique to the iPhone / Android device is charts and reports so you can see your progress on your handheld. The app will run on the iPhone, iPod Touch with Wi-Fi or Android device.

Here's what you do:

1 - Launch the browser on your iPhone or iPod Touch and go to:  http://fitsync.com/iphone.  Or launch the browser on your Android device and go to:  http://fitsync.com/android

2 - Use your FitSync username and password to login

3 - There's also a Demo login for new users to explore.

You can use FitSync on your iPhone or Android device online or offline. When you login to FitSync, all of your workouts are downloaded to your iPhone/Android device. You only need an Internet connection to sync your data, view new exercise videos or charts — everything else is offline. Just keep your browser open and FitSync active and you can use FitSync offline for up to 2 hours (just be sure to sync your data before you exit FitSync).  I usually sync my iPod Touch at the office before I head out to the gym and then on my way back, stop by Starbucks for my drink du jour and sync up my data.

Yours in health,

John Morgan

Hey Kenneth-
What version of Android do you have on your Archos 5?  I suspect its running Cupcake.  FitSync for Android 2.0 (Eclair) will let you log offline and then sync later once you reestablish a net connection but you'll need to wait until Archos gets updated to Eclair.

Regarding workouts, you need to sync your device to download new workouts create on the Web.  We also have workout libraries that you can search on the Android app and then copy into your account immediately.

Hope this clarifies things.  Check in again if you have more questions.

I have a question regarding using fitsync on my droid fron verison. it is the latest version, 2.0, i think. i was recently using a workout but for some reason i could'nt fint the way to sync the workout. The next day when i pulled up the workout all the data i had entered was gone. is there a way to pull that back up?

Also, is there anyway to record my workout stats such as duration, avg. and high heart rate, and total calories?

I also have one suggestion, there should be an additional confirmation required to delete programs and workouts. I spent considerable time creating a workout, only to hit the trash can accidentally and lose the entire workout.
